1968 GS hood scoop

Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out the 68 GS hood scoop colors. I'm pretty sure the top should be painted body color, can anyone verify that? Also, the ribbed section just in front of the scoop, is that to be chrome or matte black like the decklid emblem??

Top is body color, and the lower portion of the ribs were painted black on mine- chrome on the high parts of the ribs. Since I bought mine when it was 32 YO, I couldn't tell you if the black was flat/satin/gloss.

flat black .. with the chrome showing on top and about 3/16 down the sides of the ribs. Spray the whole thing then - carefully - wipe the ribs with a rag and some thinner
