Depends what you mean by "original key"
Lock cylinders with correct keys are still available from GM, but you might need to hunt for the correct letter code for 1969.
Each year uses two letter codes. One for ignition and door, one for trunk and glove box. The letter code specifies the pattern of length-wise grooves in the key. 69 uses E for ignition and door, H for trunk and glove box. Any E key will go into any E lock cylinder; the cut of the teeth determines whether or not it will turn. On the other hand, a J key (1970) will not even go into an E (1969) lock cylinder.
Once you get an E lock cylinder you can have it re-keyed to match an existing, functional, door key (if you have one. Otherwise, you have to re-key the doors to matck the new ignition key.)
