Hey guys, sorry I haven't got back to yal sooner. My grandmother had a stroke and I had to fly out of the country and every time I tried to log in to an English website the internet would crash, I apologize! Thanks, Ed
Absolutely! I responded to your note, Ed, about the front molding pieces. Kurt, are you still thinking about the rear bumper? If so, I'd like to at least get in line for that. I'm on the East Coast at 06461, so shipping is an obvious big factor. Wrapped in carpet underlayment and sent Greyhound would probably be cheapest (and probably same for Kurt too, if he's going to snag it). Third in line for taillight bezels, but doubt they'll ever get this far, lol. Thanks.
Interested in two of the square seat buttons. If there are three square seat buttons, all of the better since I can keep one for a spare! ---------- Post added at 07:12 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:04 AM ---------- Also interested in the little spring holding down the car jack to the trunk pan. Also I need one of the 5/16 inch screws that hold down the access plate in the trunk to the top of the fuel tank. Pull up the black velvety carpet in the trunk just to the upper right of the spare tire well and you can see this plate. I lost one of these small screws while I was fixing my fuel pump.
Ken, I'm still 90% in on the bumper, mine is straight but was drilled for a trailer hitch at some point, like everything else it's a money issue, I'm a disabled (partially) Vet and my income is thin. I'm in 100% on the tail lights and bezels for sure as they are waaay better than mine. Did you ever get those wheels from Gary?
Kurt, It worked out great with Gary. Nick Rabi was in NC and met Gary to complete the transaction and pick the rims up. :TU: Thanks for your help! :TU: Those bezels look to be as good as is going to be out there- nice score!
Good deal on the wheels, I'm glad they got in the hands of someone that could use them, I hated to just see them sit there and rot since they didn't fit anything he has. How badly do you need the rear bumper as I can live without it since mine would be fine after a rechrome and having the hitch holes welded up.
Kurt, I have a '69 Riviera with low miles that although stored inside for a few decades it must have been a bit damp. The bumper on it it perfectly straight, but the chrome isn't so perfect. It looks like the one in Colorado has really nice chrome (would want more pictures). If I put that one on my car, the one I have becomes a great core candidate. Maybe we can figure something out on getting my current one to you as a core? I do plan to sell the car in the not too distant future, so I don't have a lot of emotional attachment to it. I say that because if you have a car you're planning to keep, drive, and be proud of, it might make more sense for you to take Ed's bumper if it works for you without having to add the cost of new chrome.
Ed's bumper will need chrome, I could see that in the pics, my plan was to use it as the core for chroming and that way my car does not sit for months without a bumper as I do drive the car
Hey Kurt That makes sense to me, especially as you drive it and it is that season! I'll keep what I have as it isn't that bad at all. :bglasses:
Does is have posi and what is the gear ratio? I am about to rebuild the diff in mine so I would be ready to buy them right away. Thanks, Ryan 915 532 3475
Hey guys! Sorry for not replying.... I found a great 67 Riv and JUST HAD TO go and take a look at it drove 4 hours and it was worth it. Clean title but interior needs to be redone, the guy wanted $1000 for it but I'm gonna bring it down. Anyways, Let me get my uncle over sometime and let him take a look at this thing, because honet to god, I have no idea what I was dealing with when I bought this car... ou: Sorry sorry sorry for the late reply!!! And in my defense, I'm in summer school and have two jobs :ball: please bear with me! Also, my phone number is 303 770 6666 if you have any questions that I might be able to answer about this car. Sorry and thanks! P.S. I PROMISE I'll post more pictures after I disassemble the car. Thanks for all the patience! And again I'm sorry for the alte reply!! Sincerely, Ed ---------- Post added at 11:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:02 PM ---------- And also, if you can list the parts that you need, that'd be great due to my lack of knowledge about these things.
Looking for the following if no one has already requested: If it has a 6way power bench seat, I would like the cables, electric motor and transmission. Thanks, -Chad
looks like any of us that wanted parts from this are out of luck http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969...-or-restoration-/121145686290?forcev4exp=true
I did get the trim parts I requested (they aren't in the auction pictures). He had interest on plenty of other parts, wonder what happened? o No:
