Whew... I thought you were going to tell me it was like a month ago or something. I've been working on my Bird since Nov 07 and a lot will still be unfinished when mid September rolls around. We'll be there, just don't be too picky!

You guys do good work, looking forward to seeing the final product. Good luck.

trying to upload a few more pictures. my computer is a turd, so if not tonight in the next day i will post more. this is where the transformation really took shape. All body work by Tom Miller jr. paint by Bryan Bottger and Darren Arnold of Car Crafter Customs. We took the heads down to the Amish Builder, Brian McDowell, he wil be checking them out and adjusting the spring pressure and seating the valves, he also rebuilt the turbo 400 trans for the project. It looks like we will get he underside painted this weekend, and Tom was right, all the 5hit on the underside goes right into your eyes when your cleaning, 40 year old undercoating tastes great too. looks like we will start ordering all the accessories and try to put this heap together. keep you all posted. TIm

so silver chevelle. silver T-37, your old 72 442 was silver. JJ has nothing but silver cars. There's the Simpson's silver Monte. That must have been one hell of a group paint purchase

not silver, it is a odd color, it is champagne mist. Tom and Tom have done a killer job on this one.

    Hi Tom:

May I ask, do you still have your COPO Chevelle?

Small world Roger. I believe you're the fellow I met in Lewisville a while back to drop off some exterior door handles? :Brow:
    Hows that car coming along?

I think I heard that car went to a needy family. One that needed to go faster !!!

Roger, as Tim said, it was sold and arrived at it's new home yesterday. I heard that the new owner is getting old and needed an automatic.

    Hi Dean:

Small world indeed and yes, on the door handles (THANKS very much) . . .
Not wanting to intrude on Tim's thread but I'm hopeful to crank the engine in a few weeks . . .

Always thought the Buick "A" bodies were hot just never owned one.
Did own a Century "T" type back in the mid '80's - it was a GREAT road warrior car while I was "on the road" . . .

I'm getting old too but back in the day (mid 60's) just had to have the '69 COPO/Dick Harrell Chevelle that I tracked down in 2009 (currently restoring) - traded a '66 4 speed car with over 100K miles . . .
