1969 GS 400 Fan, Water Pump and Crank Pulley non AC

    My best advice to you would be to bring your rad to a competent radiator shop and have them do a flow check. If the thing is getting to 250 on the highway you have some serious efficiency issues with your cooling system

    Long story....Started the original rebuild with an original rebuilt by me carb. Didn't run a cap used the hose. Plus we have tons of calcium. I said my Hail Marys.

    Do you run antifreeze or straight water?

    50 / 50 typically, but during breakin like I said.

    Need to go 80 / 20 water.

    50/50 is perfectly acceptable. Too much antifreeze and you might have overheating issues. Also. I apologize, I didn't mean to stomp on your want ad. Just trying to save you some money and frustration

    The shock display! :D Its sitting in my office with the rest of my assorted automobilia Im going to swap out the Chevys for Buicks!
