Restoring a 69 GS front grill. Is it all black or black and silver? If black/silver a picture of where the silver goes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
This has been discussed before. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1969-gs-400-grill-color.361305/#post-3108375
I would never doubt you dave! I honestly don't remember any grey on any of my 69's. But I differ to you
Interesting discussion and much appreciated. Dave, would have additional information on the charcoal gray? Is it available in a rattle can? Would also appreciate a better pic of that restored grill. Hard to see the detail in that pic. Thanks
I will get you some better pics. The argent silver is a charcoal grey. Not sure about spray cans. I have always used automotive grade paints on my restorations.
Just to clear things up about the charcoal grey. Here are pictures of the original grille in my 69 convertible project.
Now for pictures of how the grille gets taped. The yellow tape shows the areas to remain black. I placed the tape over the fins just to show the areas that need to be taped.
Thanks Dave. This was very helpful. Any suggestion on the grey? Do you know of anything close in a spray can?
