Looking for a 70-72, matching number, documented, GS 455 convertible. 4 speed preferred or Automatic with floor shift, prefer A/C. Will also consider a Stage1 convertible project, matching numbers.
Holy smoke Jim! Your automatic car sold at the end of February. My convertible went to it's new home on March 3rd. There must be a misalignment in the stars or something. o No:
Looks like a nice vert just appeared on EBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Buick-Skylark-GS-455-Grand-Sport-Convertible-No-Reserve-/150775530703?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item231aec04cf
Joe...Pm sent. Jim....I threw a bid at that one this morning. It sure looks like what I'm looking for.
There's a 70 GS 455 Convertible in the cars for sale in this months BCA Bugle. Say's its been stored inside since 1987. I believe its a stick. If interested I'll get his/her # for U. BTW I have a 70 skylark custom convertible cloned into a GS that I might sell. If interested shoot me a PM for the particulars.
Thanks, I was forwarded the ad from the Bugle by another member. It's an automatic by the way. Not interested in a clone at this time, the offer is appreciated. JJ
I will be putting my 1970 Stage 1 Convertible up for sale as soon as it comes out of storage on Apr 15 Nick http://nickmarch.com/index4.htm
My 71GS455 4spd convert is not matching numbers. It's a clone, they only made 18 1971 GS455 4spd converts originally. Folklore says this one started out as a GS350 with the rare 3spd column shift of which they made 6. I have no proof of that. Converted to 455 and 4spd floor shift. Has the GS VIN. I'll send more info if you're at all interested. Blue with black interior and tan convertible top. Mike
