If it is real which remains to be seen, it is a shame to see such mods to a rare car. I would not feel that way if he had started with a Skylark. It is going to take a frame off to bring the car back to stock.
Thats been on and off ebay I think it hit bout $20,000-30,000, reserve not met. o No: At $64k, it should be there for quite some time. :eek2:
omg! yeah but it retains its original floor mats ou: the 70 convert 4sp stg 1 has allways been my holy grail, but not like that :ball:
If I am correct this is not a factory Stage 1 car. I believe it stated that in the add when it was on ebay or another website, however, it does have Stage 1 equipment.
The title to the Ad cannot be read to indicate anything but a 70 stage one convertible. Now the text of the ad is much more carefully worded to say things like "stage 1 heads".
If someone really wants to know ask for the VIN #. I think that when this was on ebay the VIN had OZ in it. If it is a Stage 1 it should have OH . In case somebody doesn't know. the letters Z and H refer to the plants in which the cars were built and stage 1 cars were only built in Flynt, Michigan for the 1970 model year, which is represented by the letter H.
Yes, that is true but only for convertibles. So since this is a convert. the Freemont code, if that what it is, for this car shows it is not a stage 1 car.
