Come on Chris,1/3 the price of the green shelby, and twice as fast. You won't have to build the jtroop car.Step to the plate. gary
Joe...I wish I was in a position at this time. I know it is a tough time to sell now. What is the best et as the car is setup now? I know I want to go faster. Jim
Thanks guys! Jim, I have never taken the car to the track. I was told it ran 9.9? and 10.0 off the trailer before i bought it. Bob, sounds good.
The car appears to be sold with a verbal commitment. Arrangements have been made for Bob to check the car out in person next weekend the 25th. :beers2:
I like the brown stage car,it would look good in the garage, but I'm on a fixed income don't you know. gary
I'm looking forward to checking the car out. Bringing a trailer and a bunch of dead Presidents, and I'd be very surprised if the trailer is empty on the way home! :beer I spoke to Kieth Diabo, who's shop built the car, and I was surprised at how much detail he remembered.
My wife's rolling the pennies and my son is off stealing the neighbor's bottle returns as I'm typing. Joe, I PM'ed you with the latest transaction/travel plans. I'll call to confirm tomorrow night. Thanks for the additional info and pictures. I also called Ed @ D&D for more info. It's funny that I've had my GS since 1982 and never knew that I had an expert Buick machine shop less than 3 hours away!
Hey Bob. "The Goblin" and I say Hi. Good to meet you at Syracuse..Sorry we did not chat longer..my fault..busy place!! Congrats on your purchase to be!! My all time favourite Buick for sure!! Ed and Rolly are good guys (they built my 462 in 03`) they know what they are doing!! Later,Tony.
Well, we made it home tonight with the car. And what a car! Joe and his dad Mark (and families) are class people all the way. Thanks again for the hospitality! (BTW, the GTO is an awesome piece to see and hear in person!). We were able to dodge the rain from Fenton, MI all the way until just east of Buffalo NY, when the sky looked so ominous and the radar showed red that we decided to pull into a rest area to let the storm pass. From start to finish, it was about 3 or 4 minutes that we watched the tornado roar about 100 yards ahead of us, just clipping the rest area property and laying tries down on the Thruway (I90)!!!!!!!!! Yike a-mon-dos!!!!!! I've never seen a tornado, and when we got out of the truck, we saw many people looking toward the sky and pointing. I thought they were pointing toward a rainbow or something. The tree debris 100's of yards up in the air was just like you see on the weather channel. No hail, no lightening and thankfully no damage to the GS - it was a very small tornado, but freightening none-the-less. My wife was able to grab the camcorder and shoot some video. Anyway, back in Michigan yesterday, Joe took me for a ride in the GS. I thought I knew what to expect, but 750HP/680TQ is much more than I am used to. Holy crap, the engine makes some steam! With Joe, myself and my son along, we had to be well over 4300 lbs. Carefully is how I am going to ease into this vehicle! Tony, for sure it will be at the Syracuse Nats next year, and it's too bad the GSX deal is Columbus is next weekend, because we'd like to get this car around again. I'm whooped - more tomorrow w/ pics.
Cool deal!Glad everthing went well and you made home theres nothing like taken a road trip and getting a new toy.Hope to see the car around. Are you going to English Town and cecil county?
Congrats Bob. That is a sweet car. Hope to see it in person some day. Better buy some stock of MT tires!
