Not a bad looking clone, even though there is a few things that are not correct, but should a car that is a clone (like this one), actually bring this kind of money? I might understand if it was a 100% correct clone in restored condition, but even then if it was at the perfect clone level would it still bring this kind of cash? Assuming the resto job was done correctly and throughly?
A nice 70 GS455 4 speed should and would bring that kind of money. i dont see anything out of line with what the car is at right now.
You can always DECLONE the car. I guess?? Noty bad for 29,000 dollars. At least he gives u many pictures to look at.
Really nice car... I always have liked the 10/10. Noticed the trunk lid and end cap trim found on GS ,not for GSX. Probly something they dont even know o No: . It doesnt look that bad tho, just doesnt fit the clone. I have always dreamed of having a GSX of any year but it looks like I'll have to go the clone route too with the way eBay and Barrett Jackson have brought them into the mainstream. Off the subject...anyone remember the shot of a 70 10/10 GSX in car craft several years ago parked in a driveway? It was a decaying muscle car article and this X was in NJ with flat ,I think Polyglas tires. It was the old story of kid goes to war ,buys car ,parents wont sell car for anything. Anybody ever laid eyes on this one??? fish
Your correct! It was sold by a friend of mine and here is what he has to say about the car so Buyer Beware I just want to let anyone interested in this car, that it is not something that you would want. I owned the car for about a year and sold it 14 months ago. I bought it off the internet and did enough work on it to get my money back by a miracle. The frame was rusted badly, I replaced the entire trunk interior with a truck from a '70 GTO, the floor pans were rusted out but had been replaced but had holes in them, the outside of the car had been re-skinned but the cancer was coming back through, the trans would kick out of first gear if you let off the accelerator. On the good side I completely redid the instrument panel and interior from various donor cars. Rebuilt the motor because of bent values and no compression. Paid $8900, worked my butt off on it, threw money at it, and sold it for $16000. Now look at it. Ain't the internet grand! Just letting you know that you may want to think about this one before you bid. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=16124&item=4558339825&rd=1
