The Brite aluminum engine enamel for the housing and cast blast aluminum or "Dull aluminum" spar var if you can still find it,..

Some of the small factory match spray paint will work great too just a Brite silver

Sorry guys I hate to disagree. Originals were shiny almost but not quite chrome. They WERE NOT DULL. Never use enamel on plastic. It’s not designed for it. You want lacquer always on plastic. Enamel will peel, I used a chrome type paint on mine,

Alumiblast paint from Eastwood is a good match for tail light lenses again avoid enamel.

Didn't say to paint the buckets Dull aluminum,...that was for the lens edges,...the inside of the buckets I said the Brite aluminum engine enamel,..or you could use the Chrome paint if you can even pick it local anymore,..its not a high wear area,..the paint will hold up just fine in that environment

And 98% of the time surface prep is the issue with Enamel

Lacquer on most plastics just requires cleaning. Every plastic part I have seen enamel used on peels. I have GM service bulletins for painting plastic parts and the all call for Lacquer,

No agree Laquer is the best for stuff you can't prep as well as needed

I used the Eastwood aluma blast too for both the housings and lens. Not the 2k, just the regular stuff. B452CCC9-D090-4881-BF53-BEE32D939F7F.jpeg 8256C0E5-F4AC-46D9-9FAF-FD4799E47E4D.jpeg

I glue the brite side of Reynolds Wrap inside the housings. It looks great & lasts many years.

Looks great. 2k is what came up when I put the info in. First time I used Eastwood.
What is the difference between the 2?
    Thanks

Doesn’t say anywhere one time use on

on further reading can...... 48 hours to use.
No testing or touch up later.

Great, found the info as you scroll down on the site.
What a waste. No touch up later.
Talk about a waste of product.
    Disposable like horrible freight.

had to dig to find the regular alumablast.
They promote the one usage paint.
    What a waste.

And the 2k is what they promote. Not the regular alumablast. Put alumablast in search. Only 2k shows up.
    Another waste.
