http://www.legendarymotorcar.com/legendary.php?obj=inventory&name=1970GSX240 I do not know the car or the price. I am trying to get information on the car now. mark
Not one of ours, they sold the 4 speed car that they had of ours. I heard that Peter did a drive test on that car in an episode of Dream Car Garage this year. I didn't get to see that one.
What's up with the A/C compressor belt guard on this '70? Looks like the regular size compressor pulley, too. It just looks out of place on this level of resto.
I especially like the stickers they put on everything, including the parts that didn't come with them or originally had ink stamps. The spirals are a nice touch also. Duane
The washer bottle looks funny... Shouldnt it have a bracket and be attached to the fender? wish it was mine though...
For 70 cars, The only ones that had the bracket and washer bottle on the fender were California cars. Duane
Correct me if I am wrong but was it the guy from Legendary Motor Cars who hosted the muscle car shoot out on the cable channel Speed Vision? I remember the GS they used was one of the only automatics in a sea of sticks and it was a convertible?? I'm not expert on drag racing but aren't you better off with a manual? And what about the curb weight of the convertible? Is it te same as the hard top?? Seeing the auto trans and the convertible top on the GS in that "shootout" made me wonder...
I remember that show. They took a 4000+ lb. convertible, with air conditioning, and pitted it against a bunch of, for all intensive purposes, factory light weights. It lost. But still did very good considering what it was up against.
In show #7 this year, Peter did a drive on a 70 GSX stage1 4speed car. That was one of our cars. I finally have found a guy with it saved and he is burning me a dvd of it. Mark
