They should mention “numbers” aspect for sure.... guess we’ll just have to watch the auction. It looks unrestored, but what’s up with that shifter boot /ring set up? That ain’t stock ..... And I’ve seen those “between the seats” consoles before, but never in an X.

My 70 GSX sold there in 2016 for $130,000 and was non matching non stage 4 speed. The engine did get the stage-1 treatment however. I removed the chrome rocker covers and 3.64 for the sale as close to original as possible. Engine had all correct part numbers and Muncie was correct but from another car. Only rear end was original 3.42 I put back. It sold there again last year for the exact same price again!

Is the mileage mentioned anywhere? That would be a cool car to own if it’s low miles and all original like yours, Tom.

A GSX Wayne Roberts report would answer a lot of questions. Late built 70 GS's did you get the push button Shorty console.

It could have a Buick special order 390 gear rear which would be extremely rare.

There's two white 70 GSX's for sale one is an automatic I believe that's the car from North Jersey Nick Serwo just rebuilt the engine it was restored by Thorton the other is this four-speed from Gateway which has been sale for over a year started out at 214 K. If it's presented as original and numbers matching it could bring a good number but not 188K.

    BadBrad Got 4-speed?

This one's been for sale for years; always too much; always too many questions.
