Hello everyone, wanting to paint my rear bumper BUICK emblem the correct color/shade of BLACK. Is it gloss, satin, flat, hammer tone (hah) or anything in between?? Your help and expertise would be appreciated. Also can you recommend a spray paint manufacture and their shade for the job?

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

Satin Black Spray Paint by Krylon should do the trick.

The originals on the production cars in 70 were gray or dark silver , not black.

    Bill,
434--, 444--, and 446-- cars came with black backgrounds while 435-- cars came with silver backgrounds.
This is right out of the assembly manual.
