I have the service manual and am trying to follow it but got stuck. Basically the steering box linkage is in the way, do I have to remove it?

One of the pics has 2 bolts which I’ve circled, thought they come out but looks like they might be pressed in.

The bushings are shot and need to be changed.

    Thanks in advance

Those bolts are splined, like wheel lugs. Put the nuts on and see if you can knock them out. Remove the shock absorber first.:)

X2 - I found a carefully placed crowbar set on the exhaust manifold and pressing on the bolt will pop them out. When you put them back carefully align the bolt with the splines already cut into the frame and tap them in place.

Good information guys, as control arm bushings and the disc brake kit are next on my project list. I'm guessing the 68-69 are the same.

68-69 are same disk brake setup. 1967 was unique to the year.
