Interested. Tell me about the block. Is there compression in all the cylinders? What needs to be rebuilt on the short block? Thanks!

I didn't do a compression check. The # 8 piston had a piece missing and need to be bored. The bottom end, i check some of the bearing and they looked good. The heads are original and need to be redone. I have pictures of the heads if you want them. I'm cleaning out my garage .

If you could send me pictures that would be great, also if you don't mind sending pictures of the cylinders and #8. Or I could come up and look at the block one day this week if that works for you.

Hey VPS dood! WHAT IS your name, anyhow? Please, check to see if there is/was the idle control soloniod and bracket mounted on the intake or, since the motor is disassembled, it would be perhaps in a box somewhere...? I will buy yours if you have it... the one I have fails every once in a while... Please advise:

I am just curious: What was the probable cause of that piston damage? Detonation?
