1971 Buick Skylark Custom 2dr hrdtp

This one would have been nice for 15K last year when I (and a few others) were interested and the owner wanted 22K. As you can see on the board there are quite a lot of bargains on some REALLY nice GS's recently with little takers. The market has beaten a lot of people down and stolen their pocketbooks. The pool for potential buyers has dried up and I think that the owner might have to reconsider his price if he wants to sell. If he won't budge on the price, he either doesn't want to sell, he's waiting until the car is worth a million bucks or he's too emotionally attached to price the car to it's true market worth. Look at some of the other pristine survivor Skylarks that have been on eBay over the past few months. They barely reach 10K, far short of the reserve. Unfortunately, I believe that the time has passed when people were paying way too much money for classic cars (myself included). He may just want to consider a dealer consignment or keeping the car until the market gets better. Hope your friend has good luck getting the amount he's asking. He has a beautiful Skylark and I would love to get ahold of this one, but there are too many desireable GS larks in the water right now.
