1971 GS/Skylark rear axle 8.5 LAB

I thought in 1972 the B was missing from the LAB from what I read, otherwise 1971-1972.
I found it on "Rear Axle Tips And Decoding, by George Nenadovich"

I pulled the cover to check the condition and found this is a Posi rear axle. From what I find the code shows non posi. The gears are correct but it is a Posi and looks in very good condition.
