I give this car a "FULL WOOD" rating :TU: Best of luck and premature congratulations to the next owner :TU:
Thanks for the compliments. I forgot to mention the other options... PWR Disc Brakes Variable Ratio PWR steering Tinted glass AM Radio with rear seat speaker Vinyl interior Carpet I have talked on the phone with the original owner, and he told me that he and his wife were just married and wanted a new GTO, but he had too many tickets and couldn't afford the insurance on a GTO. He was looking through the dealership catalog and figured out that he could order the GTO driveline on a T-37, and the insurance company never questioned it. He told me he got a wolf in sheeps clothing that cost less than a GTO,and would outrun a GTO because it was much lighter, and the money that he saved allowed him to put Cragar SS mags on it days after buying it, and that is why it was delivered with the standard issue poverty caps.
There's a good article on a T-37 in this month's Hemming's Muscle Machines Magazine. http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/2009/04/01/hmn_buyers_guide1.html You need to be a current subscriber to read the full article. Tim
I had a guy contact me via email the other day, and he wanted me to try to "justify" the asking price, as this isn't a GTO. I told him, if you go buy a GTO,then you have just that, another GTO:boring: Buy this car, and your never going to be at a show with another one like it,probably not even at a national level.o No: I guess this car may be one of those Rare vs. desireable situations, although the rarity should make it desireable to a collector that wants something that nobody else has.:bglasses:
Tom That is the joy of selling a car that is not mainstream. It is difficult selling a car let alone something a little different. Every buyer thinks they know it all. Good luck
I guess if the guy is wondering why its priced that way and it's not a gto,,,, he's not the one you want to buy it anyway, sweet car
Tom, I think the car is a steal. Only lack of funds keeps it out of my garage. I'd rather have it over a GTO any day.
Sometimes people like to try and get leverage by testing the seller to make sure they know what they have. If the guy want's a GTO, he needs to buy a GTO. Or it is just another tire kicking fool
Full wood for sure!:beer Like everyone else,if i could pull it off,i wood!!p Good luck & your price is fair:beer
I've always been a dead Indian guy and absolutely love the T-37 and GT-37's. Good luck with the sale.
