Bill, You may have already seen this one, but it looks pretty nice and sounds like it has documentation. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=138920
lakes need rain. we are not getting any. on the other hand, even in the low areas on my property (148 acres) it is dry. the creek bed is dry. that's not such a bad thing either. I can get around on my tractor wherever the trees and gullies permit. have been cutting open some new trails through the brambles. Life is good. I answered your PM. I wouldn't sell the green one to just anybody.
Looking for a 1971 STAGE 1 car, again pm me with details, i like stock appearing cars and looking to spend up to 30-35k for the right car. bill

wonder if it is this one? http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=119764&highlight=1971+stage or the one Mike S. looked at a while back?
This must be the toughest year to find, whenever I post looking for a 69,70,or 72 the pm's pour in, not a single board member has one he or she wants to sell, is my price range of 30-35k out of line? Bill as for the other leads nothing jumps out at me, and the one in Quebec is way over my price range. Bill
Bill: I am no expert but have been following the market of 71's for 10 years. IMO, you are looking for a rare animal. Most seem to be non #'s matching like mine. I have often wondered if there was a design flaw for the '71's to cause so many of them to missing their original motors. As you noted, plenty of 70 and 72's but few 71's with matching numbers to demand your price range. In addition, many were painted in non-sexy colors (ie gold like mine) to bring the big bucks. If I ever found a car like you are looking for, I would borrow the money to buy it as restoring a typical blown-up car (like mine) is financial suicide. Good luck! David
There was one for sale here not so long ago just the right car but not the right price then there was one that was the right price but not for its condition, kindof starting to sound like a fairy tale , to make things worse i had the right car but sold it to finance business venture and only 6 months later didn't really need to sell it as the business supports itself already, everybody around me said don't sell , give it a few months but I panicked as money got tight and they were right and I was wrong, numbers matching documented stage 1 GSX , dumb dumb me Bill
Did you check into the one in Houston for 29.5K? http://houston.craigslist.org/car/447237613.html Mark
