Saw this on Craigslist here in San Diego. Wish I had 4.5k to swoop up. No engine or trans. Even has rally wheels!! https://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/cto/d/el-cajon-1972-buick-gs/7429920358.html
45 is little strong ordinarily,...BUT,...if it's rust free,...it's worth it imo,..being it's option load and it's solid,..be a great start for a street/strip build
I would assume that "No pink slip but It's out of the system" means no title. If that is the case, that would be a shame. Seems like a great deal!
Big "BUT" but 100% correct on the rust-free. That IS the value although some great parts there too. Still be upside down prob. if putting it back to orig. but NOM on a 350 car isn't the ding in value like on a 455 or S1. Not that I could do this, but good LS/resto-mod candidate as well.
Yea restoring a 71/72 350 GS is pointless in every direction but if you want to put together a 455 hot rod or LS swap this wouldn't be a bad one Not having a title in any state is no real big deal scares guys from good cars,...
Restoring '70 GS 350 isn't much better but here I go, lol. Restoring a '71-2 GS 350 convetible isn't quite as losing a proposition but still...
I remember there was a guy in the eighties from Ontario Canada that my brother sold some 69 GS 350 hood emblems to that claimed he had his 69 GS 350 running in the high 11s and had the time slips to prove it . Found out about him through the GSXtra newsletter. I appreciate all GS cars and I think one of the coolest looking is a Platinum Mist 67 California GS even though I am partial to 400 and 455 cars.
Grammar police alert...it's "too" not "to". Jr, you're sent back to 4th grade Mrs. Rinehart's English class.
Spell check does that all the time. If you text quick and it is short you might not catch it before sending . Just saying that is a possibility.
It would be nice if there was a good shot of the vinyl top, one little bump and it's game over, there are definitely some good parts but it would be hard to restore without being upside down. IMHO Bob H.
So back on topic. Probably no title which can be obtained here in CA by having a VIN verification and a statement of the facts filled out with some documentation that you recently purchased it or some documentation such as a registration card insurance card etc... showing the last presumed owner or a license plate would help. I have done this many times when the vehicle has been purged out of the CA DMV system. The seller is being lazy by not getting a title.
