That's a good looking '72 but it would be tough to bid based on the limited information and photos. That tan and black interior is my favorite for a '72 Buick. The craigslist ad you posted has photos of the interior but when I go directly to their website it has even less photos. https://bid.bid-2-buy.com/ui/auctions/104421/12632022 I assume they are advertising primarily to people that will come and inspect the car in person.

The Craigslist ad has interior photos but nowhere could I find engine photos.

Wow this has got to be a car I looked at in Omaha in about 2005. The guys name was Gus,he had bought it from a neighbor of his for a song,I am sure it was a 1 of the 728 stage 1s in burnished copper with that rare interior, when I saw it it had new paint, motor out of it. The seller had bailed out of it after buying a ton of kenne- bell parts I saw that day, I had to keep my cool. 2 engines 1 built with all kenne- bell brand new stuff on engine stand kb valve covers,kb headers, alum intake, hays stinger ign.system in the box plus who knows what was internal.then in the corner is the complete original motor and a brand new in the crate kb switch pitch turbo 400 and the oe trans. We go in his house and he has rechromed bumpers, I think n25, nos grille, perfect oe fenders that had the proper emblem holes( the guy used nos fenders on the repaint! For some reason. I was pumped up and he prob new it,I think I was gonna get a home line of credit for $16,000, pricey for a 72. I bet it’s a 21,000 mile car. I went home and kept thinking about all those parts and a 72 stage I called him and asked the wrong question, I said “ can I have the guy you got it froms contact info for history of the car after I buy it from you” I’m sure he didn’t want it known how much he was making! We make a trip to see it again and on the way to Omaha I call and he says “ I’m not selling to you” I was really bummed but it’s ok because a few years later I was able to buy my 70 stage 4 speed no option fire red one with that money. Where are all those parts now??? Gregg

Had his number from all those years ago so I called and he answers and said he’s the one that just auctioned it off for 47k and sold the kb and other stuff on HERE! Gregg

It's funny how car guys can recall details of a car deal from 18 years ago. And even still have a seller's phone number! :)

I really like '72s and I think this is a neat car but you are better off with a Fire Red '70 Stage 1 4-speed!

The auction listing was updated and it now includes the VIN 4G37V2Z121147. This '72 Stage 1 is one of 118 built at the Fremont assembly plant. If the car has not already been apart, it probably has a built sheet under the rear package tray, under the back seat, and inside the drivers bucket seat frame. I've seen several '72 from Fremont with a buildsheet showing inside the trunk like this:
