i recently bought a 72 skylark, which needs restoration. the previous owner who stripped the car down to metal did not add any of the emblems when he began restoring it. i honestly have no idea where the emblems are located (i heard about one on the rear bumper but he replaced it with a 1970 bumper also, where could i find them? pics, help, anything, thanks!!! Niko
locations of emblems niko: check some of th earlier posts of a couple of weeks ago &/or do a search as one of the guys posted a picture of the location , with measurements , of the fender emblems .
Niko, On the skylarks there is an emblem that says SKYLARK on both rear quarter panels. If your car is a Skylark Custom then there is a emblem that says custom under the skylark emblem. As far as I remember there are the Skylark emblems on the rear quarter panels, and If my memory serves me correctly on the passenger side of the trunk lid there is a emblem that says BUICK. If you get the correct 72 rear bumper there is a BUICK emblem that is mounted on the bumper. Hope this helps.
If your car is a Skylark 350 the quarter panel will also have a 350 emblem along with the Skylark emblem. My 72 does not have Buick on the trunk, but my 71 does.
If the 72 has the same emblems/placement as a '70 I would gladly go out and take pictures of my car. Let me know.
you dont know how much i appreciate the help everyone gave so basically, i need a 72 rear bumper (for the BUICK) and two skylark emblems for the rear quarter panels, great... im sure i can find the bumper, but where can i go for the two skylark emblems?!?!?
