Nice chance for someone to get into a GS, but little chance that one ever goes back together. Probably a good deal in parts for $2500.

Maybe, lol. Too many projects already:). Would've rather had your old car. I do want another '72 someday but if I was going to take on a '72 project, it'd have to be something pretty special.

I’m going out Saturday. The car is as far apart as it can go. Frame is bare,so it will take multiple trips to haul all of that. The front cowl is nice. The rear package tray section is NOT. It would need 1/4’s. Originally brown/tan/beige. I will part it IF I decide to punish myself by hauling it all home. Acquiring motivation.

I'm sure the seller is very motivated to have that parts collection gone. He doesn't have any emotional attachment and probably less desire or ability to put it back together. U-haul and a trailer would probably get most of it. Try not to scratch the paint.

He rode around in with his dad when he was younger, and his uncle, who owns a 71 GS,has good history on it. The car has been apart for 14 years.

Yup. I was actually going to pick him up on the way out. Looks like a decent score.

Yeah I picked it up, I'm going to be keeping some stuff for myself and selling if the rest. The 1/4s arent bad they both need a small patch. Cowl area not too bad has a small spot of rust. It was a vinyl top car and has alot of rust around the back window area. It is as far taken apart as it can be and alot of the parts are missing. It wouldn't be worth trying to put it together. It's just a parts car.
