I've had this car for years and will likely never finish it. I always planned some sort of decent "Roadkill" type build for it, even 10 years ago before that show existed. Clean VT transferrable registration (title for a car of this age here) in my name.

I bought this car from Ken Betts 10 years ago and had it shipped from California. Its a typical desert car- zero rust, but sun baked paint and roached interior.

The good- ZERO ROT. This car is clean. The paint is shrunk and cracked so there is some some surface rust poking through the paint cracks, but nothing serious at all. It will require zero rust repair.
All original brake and fuel lines..

I have done a ton of work to this car-

3.73 posi 8.5 rear, all new bearings and GM gears
2004r trans- basic rebuild with shift kit
New rear leafs, bushings and shocks.
New dual 2.5 exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers.
Sandblasted subframe with POR 15 paint.
All new bushings in the front- body, control arms etc.
    Lakewood subframe connectors
    Be cool radiator
Front disc brakes with new brake hoses and pads.
    All new moog ball joints
    New front springs
Front suspension has been blasted and painted.

The car has a 430 at the moment, but I will be keeping it.

I have 95% of a good interior for it

    Recovered front buckets, (ok job)
    Newish carpet
    Complete center console with shifter
    Good dash pad
The car is originally non-ac but comes with a mostly complete factory ac setup with AC controls (rare and expensive- same as Nova and early camaro)

Lots of panels that need dyed/restored, but mostly all there.

The car has a tilt column and rear defrost, which is pretty rare.

The interior is mostly not installed.

    The bad-
A few dings here and there
All of the body sealer needs rehabbed. Its dry and cracked, and if left out in the rain the tail lights, firewall etc leak.
    The windshield is cracked
I might not have everything for the wipers.
The bumpers are just bolted on with fabbed (rigged) mounts.

It's registered and insured, and I was driving it last year. It's been garage kept most of the time that I've had it. I plan to pull the 430 out of it pretty quick for another project.

I have a set of 15" rallies for it
    Most of the missing pieces

Its mostly all there, but no guarantees.

$4500 firm. I have way more than that in it, and I could get more parting it. This car needs some good old fashioned elbow grease and time. I have too many other projects going and I'm out of garage space.

I'm not parting it out, although i would consider selling the trans separate for the right offer.

Its a unique car, and would be a good patina car or an easy one to do a full build. Again there is no rust repair needed. These cars are the last of the affordable cars from the 70s.

    Trades also considered..

'73 X cars still used bumper brackets, front and rear. '74 X's used pistons, front and rear. Probably for that 5 mph federal bumper basher law they had back then.
Your car looks like a very good opportunity for someone, frankly liked the looks of this car back in the day, versus the more common Chevy Nova. Let a '73 Buick 350 go to scrap a few years ago, in huge local yard crush out, just too much there, to haggle over, and too little time. It was full of oil and green coolant, had been covered, and probably only needed cleaning and gaskets. Would have been perfect for this car.

A bumper nip and tuck is pretty popular on the later "X" cars. A lot of weight can be shaved off them.

In-line, can you take pictures of the interior and interior pieces that come with the car and pictures of the engine bay and some good exterior pictures.
    Thanks

The car is in storage, but I should be able to fire it up and get some pictures. I should have time on sunday.

That's a great deal seemingly for a rust-free '73. Not inline but I'd love to build a 350 for one & would be if I had the time/space/$

I am considering driving it to Carlise next weekend. I just have too many irons in the fire at the moment, and have been saying for years that I will drive it "next" year.

Drive it to Carlisle and park in the car corral at a price including the 430- you might be surprised.
