Not sure where you read that. When Buick switched to the on-center blocks in early '88, they picked up 15hp over the 87's.

Only time I've heard them run funny is when something is actually wrong (coil pack, bad wire/plug, etc).

The Series II engines are even that much better!!! Deep skirted still, but with cross bolted mains, floating piston pins, etc. :TU: :bglasses:

    Ok..found it.

He was referring to the early '77 and older "odd-fire" engines. They did sound 'different'. Buick V6's built late '77 to present are all 'even-fire' engines.

Mike, I still wish I could get a chance to see and drive this T, but I STILL need my wife's 96 Grand Caravan to sell before I can buy a car, since we just bought her an '05. Lots of interest lately, but haven't hooked a buyer yet. Any chance of you attending Chris' Lakeville park bash on 9/10? What 'burb is the car in?

BTW Mike, how long have you owned it, and is it a lifelong MN car? The beginnings of rust concerns me, if it's been in MN all these years.

I picked up the car in Indiana. It's only been in MN since March of 2004.

The surface rust came from the paint pealing in the corners. If I keep the car, I'm going to take it to the shop and fix the paint. Easy job to do, probably take a couple of hours, then I'll paint the lower part of the car. It should look real good then.

Mike, I'll be at Chris Mohr's Lakeville park bash on the 10th, any chance we could get together that day, or are you booked up for the weekend? Is the car way up north in Coon Rapids?

If John has a strong interest in the car, no problem here. I still need to move 1 or 2 vehicles before I can buy anything.

    Is this still out there???

    Mike,
We finally sold Josh's Regal. If you still have car, let me know. This maybe just what he needs. We have the In-laws coming down from Delavan Wisconsin this coming weekend. That may be the way to get it down here if we can work it out.
    Thanks,
    Marty

I have trailered the car back from my kids school. It is at the Tri-Shield Performance shop now.

The car, of course, is not the way I gave it to him. Kids

The spoiler is broke, a non confirmed engine noise, the paint is getting bad and the grill is broken. Body still is solid with some surface rust.

Check it out at the shop. First $1000.00 takes.
