Hi, I saw this on Craiglist and thought I'd pass it along: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/car/468962580.html
I spoke to this guy yesterday and he sent some pics. The convertible is a base skylark and the other is a special(Grille is there). Seems very willing to take offers, but will not part the cars. I am passing on buying, but if anyone wants them and wants to part out, i would be interested in the grille from the special.
Unfortunately, from what they look like I think that $2K is a bit much. Now for a grand, I'd be there with my trailer.
I'am pretty sure i looked at the red one about a year ago.It was sitting in a back yard out by La Grange. The frame is completely gone. The only thing the car had going for it was a pretty nice(at the time) black bench interior.
after talking with him, i don't think a grand would be turned down, he just wants to get rid of them and doesn't want to deal with the hassle of parting out. Little far for me since I am in NH to get these, but parting it out would be worth the grand.
Just spoke with him, $1,000 won't buy them but $1500 would.. Question is do I spend 1500 on more junk or find 1500 worth of good stuff out there somewhere that I need? Cleveland is about two hours away times two trips. The covertible does have a bad frame and that is why he got the Special. Both cars have air and soft quarters.
From what i remember, the only thing good on the vert was the interior.Think it's worth 1,500 and your time and gas money? With the market the way it is today i don't think you could part them out and break even.I'am 20 mins. away and i don't think their wort 1,500.Just my opinion. Tom
Yeah, I saw it. It ends tonight. Here's a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=110195962573&rd=1 It's getting close to the money that I said I'd be willing to pay, but reserve isn't met.
Well he got his 1,500 if you believe someone went from 800.00 to 1,500.I personally find it hard to believe.
