This might not be the best place to try to sell a pair of 502 chevy motors, but I know alot of us have other interest and friends that do other things, so maybe someone is looking for something other than a big block buick

For sale a pair of mercruiser 502, 8.2l 430hp motors. Hp is rated at the propshaft so actual motor output will be higher.

These motors had just over 210hrs when removed. These are aluminum headed motors, heads were made by edelbrock for mercury are partially cnc ported, full roller rockers arms, roller cams, GEN 6 blocks with block provisions to mount mechanical fuel pump. I have stern drive flywheels, but just move the ring gear and they can be used on inboard motors.

These were fuel injected motors with catalytic converters, so all the sensors to run fuel injections are still there, but I don't have the injection systems. I do have mercruiser 502 aluminum intakes.

1 motor had a conveter failure and water leaked into a cylinder and bent a valve when it was cranked over. It was never run with water in the oil and the left over oil in the motor is very very clean, not milky. Nothing was wrong with the other motor, both were pulled and replaced with bigger motors. So basiclly pull 1 head and have the valves fixed and drop in and go.

These can be run as a closed loop system as they were, or install a couple plugs and run them lake water cool. Motors have sequential serial numbers, they came from the same boat and have been a pair since they were built.

I bought these to put in a go fast boat, but our plans have changed for that project.

These would fit right into a car, street rod, racecar, tow vehicle, ant boat that has a big block etc. I am building a 555 chevy with the same casting block as these.

They are good strong blocks and motors. They come with forged crank, rods, pistons, roller cam, roller lifters, roller rockers, aluminum heads.......all the good stuff we all want in our motors.......but these have beyond pump gas friendly compression. Think like 9:1

The 2 blocks alone are 5k new........if you can actually find 2.
