My design as I sit in a hotel. Will get measurements when I get some borrowed pieces. upload_2022-12-18_20-33-24.png

I would buy a couple of sets if they ended up looking like the originals.

I'm in for one or two sets if price is reasonable.

I’m in for three sets. Did they have one on each side of the engine? If so I would want six of them.

I'd buy like 10 sets if they are like originals. Maybe more depending on price.

I updated voting, I think it will allow you to vote multiple times. Please add votes to correspond to your quantity of interest subtracting the original vote.

I see it says multiple votes allowed but don't see how to vote again

Ok. I guess I need to add the counts in the written responses.

Are you going to have a mold made?
If no, have you test what a life cycle is for a live hinge on a 3d printed part?

A mold is being planned concurrently with a 3d printable design.

I will be testing, but even if these come out like the originals, I'd be surprised if people get more than two open and close cycles. I have never had luck. The standard 4 wire piece I have new, I broke one of two just opening.

There are materials I am looking at that can stand more deflection at high temps without breaking.

I "cycled" the two, presumably 50 year old looms, all the way open and closed 36 times each and they are still intact.

All of these samples came from 70-72 Buick engines / compartments
