I'm buying a rebuilt 200-4R for my 70 Skylark, but TC is not included. Drivetrain is basically stock, but I'm looking into putting in a single turbo kit eventually. I'm thinking maybe 2000-2500 stall range. I'm gonna use it for street use mainly, use lockup, and I'm on a budget. Does anyone have a recommendation for brand/stall?

I have a stock D5 in mine and it's perfect. The D5 is for the turbo GN and T-Type cars and is a 2,200 stall from the factory.

x2 for the D5 converter. I think it is a good converter for street use.

I am sure there are better all around converters out there, but for the price, I think its hard to beat the D5. I think I paid $60 for mine - used in good condition. At the least it is a good place to start.

I have a rebuilt D5 sitting in the garage. I bought it, put it in and then got a deal on a 2800 stall, so I'm using that now (Turbo V6 :Brow: )

Anyhow, $100 shipped to your door. Less than 500 miles on it.

Cool, thanks for the info. I ordered a new one for a GN through a local O'Reilly's earlier today, but thanks Rich!! They also said something about it being a 2058 stall; kind of a strange number to me, but it's what they listed as stock for a GN.
