What is the best way to set the TV cable for the 200 4r on my 455? I want to be sure it is adjusted correctly.:Do No:

The best way would be to have an experienced transmission tech show you how to adjust it using a pressure gauge. If that isn't possible keep in mind that setting the cable to loose is worse than having it to tight. When it is to tight it just won't shift or shifts at a higher rpm than desired but it won't fry the trans.

This is for a 700r4 but the way I adjust the TV cable is to set it where its pulled out all the way at WOT. Not sure if a 200 is set up the same way.:Do No:

I highly recommend a pressure gauge that reads to 300 PSI. For starters the cable should be very tight at WOT. You should see 80-90 PSI at idle and 275+ PSI at WOT. The pressure should spike immediately when you blip the throttle in park or neutral. Once you have those pressures you can fine tune by adjusting the cable housing. Obviously many people have set the cable properly without the use of a pressure gauge but it's worth the $75 and it eliminates guessing. Once it's set up you can remove the gauge if you're concerned about leaking fluid.
