Tranny started acting up on way home from a car show. It started by not
locking up the converter and shifting late. Then the converter decided to start locking up but it still shifted late or at a higher rpm than usual.
I was about 150 miles from home the fluid looks great not burnt and there was no slippage when it shifted. The big problem came the last time I stopped.
When I took off again it wouldn't shift up.:puzzled: I ran it up to about 4500 rpms and no shift? When I pulled on the shift control cable didn't have much reistance
until maybe the last 1/4th" travel. Any ideas? Could the shaft that the cable moves be sticking or what? Any ideas :Do No:

    alec296 i need another buick

how long since it was rebuilt ,maybe the pin is coming out or is loose
if not i would start checking pressure
at wide open throttle the cable should be firm or tight
