looks like my carb has been modified to work w a 2004r tv cable
the stud that the plastic thing is pointing at sits about 1/2 inch back and 1 1/32 down
just sits way low and to far to inside to allow cable housing to clear ta intake at current throttle bracket location
so do i just need a spacer plate and mount for cable?
the stock cable mount was from monte ss and looks to have mounted to the intake not carb can use it to make one though
does the stud look like it is correct(i think so)
how far from the stud should the bracket be (at closed throttle) or just make sure it sits at same distance as throttle is now

Yes, you need a carb spacer. I went through the same thing on my 350.

spacers no problem that looks obvious but actually what i need to know now is
the old oe cable bracket has the tv cable mounted about 1 inch in front of the throttle cable and staggered not stacked on top of each other

ive noticed the jegs and summit brackets have them at the same distance from the throttle shaft and stacked ontop of each other

wouldnt it be better to have them staggered to allow better cable alignment?
is the distance from the shaft to bracket not important currently my throttle is 7 inches back but it looks like the tv cable should be about 4 inches
maybe i dont have the right throttle cable (to use an aftermarket bracket)
i plan on making a bracket that holds the throttle 7 back like now and the tv 4 back with about a 1 inch carb spacer of course
doesthis sound right? or am i blowin smoke up my own a--?
