Hey guys I have a 67 Gs340 that I have just bolted in a 2004r in. The car has a holley 600 and a 300 in it currently. The problem is that the holley bracket would not work with the steel linkage rod for the throttle. I mounted it diffrently and the geomentry is off and it will not shift correctly. It must be close because I can get it to up shift fine with good shift firmness but it will not down shift. If I go one click tighter it will not shift out of first gear till 25-6 miles per hours evently making it through all the gears. What barckets are you guys using that allows you to retain the steel linkage rod from the pedal to the carb.
TV made EZ makes a kit for the holley carb with 2004r and it works great: http://www.tvmadeez.com/ Or read this and make yourself a setup, the geometry has to be right to get the right amount and rate of pull on the TV cable: http://jakesperformance.com/TV_Cable_Setup_Info.html
