John....I forget...can my son Matt run the 96 Roadmaster in V8 class? Technically not Buick powered.... I thought he did run it a couple yrs ago.....
That'd be a fun pit project tho, just bring everything with you. Bet with everybody chipping in wouldn't take too long either...
I think eventually we should allow Buicks with whatever they were born with as long as stock or stock appearing. Obviously don't want Regals with modified SBC/BBC or SBO but if someone wants to run their 305 Chevy or 307 Olds in a Ttype or in my case stock LT1 Roadmaster, why not? Someday....to help attendance if needed. Not trying to start anything just putting it out there......
I'd say letting in the mostly stock Buicks that came with Brand X engines from the factory wouldn't be a bad idea. Then I could run the tow wagon in a pinch if something happened to the Century. As mentioned no 383 Chevy's in a Regal where a 305 was originally installed just because it was originally a "SBC". Also I'd be able to run my '14 Regal Turbo 4 cylinder if need be. Anyway it goes I'm looking forward to getting some runs in on Friday and Saturday. See everybody there.
I’m strapped to the trailer and ready to go. Pushing out in the AM and will be there when the gates open. PA tagged white Suburban pulling an open air and my 71 Cortez Gold. Looking forward to meeting some people and getting some passes down the track. Hope everyone has a safe trip. Pete.
