This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

I have a chance to pick up used. Is the 250 a good track spring for an iron headed big block Buick Skylark???

    No,the 160's for a light weight or the 190's
For a heavy or stock weight is what I've always read. Never heard of 250.

Was told they wear out quick, therefore used is not the way to go. I may have a used set that I bought laying around if'n you wanna try 'em. Will check the dungeon at the shop tomorrow.

Mine have been in for 25 years and over 1000 passes and seem tired. Car has no pop off the line even though 60ft is same. (1.45-1.48)

    No trans brake tho …..

Ok, I mispoke/typed. These springs are new in the box , althou not new.
The part number confuses me as #47190 is for 68-72 GS/Skylark and #47195 is an Apollo spring.
As you can see in the picture the number 4719 is stamped on the box.

PO assures me they are unused GS /A-body springs. No pocket wear, just some shelf wear from sliding round in the cardboard box.

Already bought these, may try them for September 20th track event, NH Musclecars at NED. Track sucks now, everyone struggled to get off the line, should be much better by then, late start and all....

I’ve never seen them blue before. Maybe it is an era thing. I’ve had mine on my car for almost 25 years. It still sits the exact same way and still launches like a dream. I have the 180’s,but my front end weight might a little lighter than yours. The 200’s are too much and it will sit up like a truck.
