I am having trouble finding tires in this size. I do not want to go too much wider, but taller is an option. Any ideas for a good tire?
Lee, I don't know if these are in stock but I have them on my '72 and highly recommend them: http://www.onlinetires.com/products...-15+firestone+firehawk+indy+500+102s+rwl.html
If they have these tires get them. They are no longer making this size and this is the best street tire going.
BF Goodrich still makes 'em http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?width=255/&ratio=60&diameter=15
These are AWESOME !!!!! I have them on my car http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/street.php?item=SportsmanST
I already have these on the front of my Buick but in a smaller size. I also run them on my 79 Corvette. Thanks for the link! I was having trouble finding them. UPDATE - These tires seem to be no longer available, at least in this size. Darn!
How about some Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. Come in RWL. I like em. http://www.firestonecompleteautocare.com/tire_catalog/Firestone/FirehawkIndy500 http://www.sears.com/firestone-fh-indy-500-tire-p255-60r15-102s/p-09560971000P
This is the direction I am headed in. ---------- Post added at 04:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:28 PM ---------- I am glad to hear that they ride nice. Right now, with the Firestone's in front and the Delta's on back, it feels like I have cinder blocks for springs. ---------- Post added at 04:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:29 PM ---------- DISCONTINUED. I even called the local Firestone dealer, he was willing to call some local wholesalers for me but I am pretty sure that they are all gone.
