25th anniversary of Super 16 Buick Race class at 2014 GS Nationals

On behalf of Doug Hecker, Dave Mongeon, Derek Graham and myself, we proudly present the 25th anniversary reunion of Super 16 at the 34th annual Buick GS Nationals (October 15-18, 2014) at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Many people have come and gone, as enthusiasts/ drivers/owners, but the memories are forever. We want to get as many of the original cars and people in attendance, whether to race or show or both. If you bring your car to the event with cobwebs from sitting in the barn for 10 years, that's great! People will love to see it.

We will line the cars up on the track on both sides during the Friday car show. Super 16 racers will have 2 qualifying runs on Friday, and also qualifying on Saturday before final eliminations. There will be a Super 16/25 Qualifier tee shirt. Also TBA will be a hotel location for a special Memory Lane, which will house old Super 16 video footage (bring your vhs, dvd, Super 8,)and photo albums. We all know this will become BENCH RACING CENTRAL, right after the doors open!

Details will be released as we get closer to the event. We appreciate any and all sponsorship of the class as it will go directly to the participants. Any questions please email me directly at TROSE231@Hotmail.com or call/text me at 216 470 8844. More updates will be coming so please pay attention to the various Buick on line websites such as www.v8buick.com ; www.turbobuick.com and www.buickgsca.com in addition we will put blurbs out in the GSXTRA as well.

Remember if it's Buick bodied and powered, you're in. IF you qualified for any Super 16 event since 1989 or a first timer, you are eligible to qualify. T/A aluminum block is ok. We hope to see you at Bowling Green in October. Let the thrashing begin !
