To ALL Buick enthusiasts: We're going to do it again! Last year we had a really great turnout, but my good friend Fred, AKA GSFred on the forum, had already left sunny South Florida to go back home to his up north house. So this year I am going to do my best to have the get together on a weekend that Fred can attend. Here are some dates that go well for Fred and his grading system. 1/26, or 27th good 2/16 or 17th best 3/2 or 3 best 3/9 good 3/17 good I'm only guessing, but I do know a lot of people that showed up last year go to church with their families on Sunday, which is awesome. So Sundays might be out. I'm just going to throw it out there for a vote, and the day most people pick will be the day. I got the hamburgers and hotdogs, and other guests generously provided mac salad, potato salad, and all kinds of other snacks and treats. Dang we pigged out! Bring whatever you want to drink. Coolers with ice will be provided. Last year I thought we ended up with eight V8s, seven turbo v6s, and one v6. I'm hoping to boost, no pun intended, the number of V8s. I met 2 gentlemen last weekend at Cars and Coffee that said they'd show up. One guy has two 1959 Buick Invictas that he said he'd bring. A convertible and a hardtop. They are beautiful!!! So get out your calendars and we'll see what we can come up with. I think you can initially vote for multiple dates, hint... 2/16 or 3/2 are best according to Fred. Some pictures from last year......
PS... what a dummy I am! My address is 217 Henthorne Dr. Palm Springs, Fl 33461 561-722-0922 Call or text anytime. If you have an idea let me know. Wives and kids showed up too and are welcome!
Weekend of 2/16, or 3/2 work best for me. Looking forward to it. I'll get with you on what to bring. Fred
Good morning Briz, What do the neighbors think of the Buick invasion? I don't know. I do know last year the first car to leave, an older gentleman with the 73 Riviera, did a one tire fire taking off around the corner. We all laughed and said, "Here we go!" After that every car did a nice burnout as it left. AWESOME!!!! If you drive that beautiful Riviera down here again you're more than welcome to spend the night.
Sort of thinking about it. Already started looking at rooms in the area. I stay for free at Choice hotels. If by chance I get the engine back together in the Regal I'd bring that down
Briz, We'd love to have you join us in either car! Come on down........... It might even be warmer than North Florida.
It would be great to see you and your sons again Hector! (hvramesq) My son and I went back to the car show / swap meet at the South Florida Fair Grounds last month. It was much cooler than the last time I saw you there and we were all sweating to death. Mike Jones, at the tog top of this post, is wanting to go to a car show in your neck of the woods. I believe it is 1/27 at Quiet Waters Park. 10 to 4 PM I believe it is officially called 8th annual Cool Wheels Car Show. Let me know if you are interested.... John
We met a guy at the last cars and coffee in WPB. he said he'd bring BOTH of his cars! Here's a picture of them.
Good morning Buick enthusiasts, I got a PM from a cool guy that wants to bring his GSX!!! That would be very cool! This weekend I'm going to call 4, or 5 Buick people that are not on the forum.
That's awesome, I saw this 71 Skylark Convertible blue and white top. It was right on Congress and Lake Worth Rd near you John. I wanted to get his attention but he flew by lol
Bummer Christopher! My youngest son saw a 69 GS at Cars and Coffee 2 weeks ago, but the guy was nowhere to be found.
