The Michigan TELEGRAPH CRIUSE is this weekend, everybody and their brother was out in thier cars last night, (friday night) officially saturday, but their calling for rain today and its already raining.

Well first of all, I don't go hunting for a race or instegate a race or condone street racing. I try to just cruise and enjoy my buick. It seems like these cruise's brings out the best of the bench racers.

1st race: 2004 Mustang conv. kenne-bell whipple set up wide nitto drag tires sounded very healthy, after I heard him tell his buddy in another mustang, (WATCH THIS)! I figued game on. I let him play for a bit then I dropped in low, 15 mph roll, I pulled him halfway in 2nd gear, half a car, ran out of room.
He;s not happy, 2nd run, 25 mph roll, me in 2nd gear, I pull him top of 2nd gear into 3rd a full car, he's up set and moves on. His buddy had a stunned face look going on.

2nd race: 68 chevelle picked on me, very healthy roller big block sumped tank 10 inch slicks, I give him the jump, I pull him midway through 2nd half a car, a full car in 3rd, game over. He gives me the nod and thumbs up. I think his wife took the kill harder than he did.

3rd race: 81 camaro, my buddys car, he did more tuning, very healthy 406 AFR headed, victor Jr. intake, 1000 BG carb, 4000 stall, fiber glass cowl and lighten where need be, we've never raced before. I took him and his dad to a lonely stretch of road for this one, away from the cruise. I figured he would pull me in 3rd gear.

15 mph roll, stayed with him then pulled a fender top of 2nd into 3rd pulled a half a car and stayed right there to finish the 1/4 mile. best race of the night, even I was surprized!!

Jamie, I ues a M/T ET street slick 2 ply side wall, air pressure 20 lbs for the street and 14-15 for the track. Hooks 1;58-1;60 at the track, same tire.

The chevelle race was a little scary the car was skating alot, I actually short shifted 2nd and 3rd to keep it going straight.

I thought that the rolling starts were to help with traction.Sounds like you had fun handing out some:spank:.

A 15 mph roll with a buick is like a standing start, you still hope for good traction on the street.

Last night was a crazy night, and lucky enough to have the right cars pick on me.

I'm going back out tonight about 8:30, just to mind my own buisness, :Brow:

Hey Jerrold,I'd bet if you had 2 Bowties and 1 Blue Oval on your windshield with RED LINES through them, they'd get THE MESSAGE,but don't tarnish your BUICK. Just keep them guessing. If you were British Secret Service(James Bond),YOU'D BE a "00..." Nice 3 kills! Jay B.Britt,Jr.

Hey Jay, thats funny, just got back from the cruise tonight and nobody picked on me, dang it!!

Funny thing was, I had a mustang guy (sporting a 347 stroker sumpped tank 10 inch et's) pull up next to me and said he really liked the buick and the look of it, but he couldn;t play cause he thinks he hurt the motor early in the cruise day, so close but no cigar.

Had alot of fun this weekend!! :3gears:
