Hello, all. The PO of my 67 Skylark vert with 340-2 removed the ST300 and installed a TH350.
I'm having the car worked on and my mechanic says I need a carb or intake bracket of some sort that pulls the downshift cable instead of pushing like the old electric downshift operated.
Is there some sort of bracket or kit available for this conversion for the 340 2bbl?
I tried doing a search but couldn't find any info.
    Thanks for your time.

Buick attached the downshift cable to the gas pedal, not the carburetor, like Chevies. Unfortunately, the gas pedal in your 67 is different in operation than the 68-72. It pivots differently. You may be able to use a different throttle arm, or use an add on extension like someone adapting to a modern overdrive transmission TV cable. The cable needs to reach the end of it's travel at WOT. I'm sure others will have ideas. Good luck.
