...a yard ,Valrico,Fla. This yard is on a back road.Saw some old iron that has been sitting at least 40 years. What a sad sight! The '35 Buick is not for sale and was the yard owner's driver many years gone by. Recently pulled out of the shelter of a pole barn and now exposed to the elements. I don't understand these people...the guy is 83 and will probably never see the car on the road again. And he won't let go. I forgot to mention that the '35 is a rumble seat convertible! The rest of the cars are cheap and hardly any worthwhile part. A '58 Century CONVERTIBLE that was well equipped.Continental kit,p.windows,seat.But now totally rotted into the ground! Saw a couple of '59 Caddy sedans,'52 Studebaker hardtop, '36 Ford V8 sedan,'39 Buick 40 series,'59 Impala Convert that had a 348! Also saw a '59 Buick Invicta 2dr hdtp.,'53 Olds 98 2dr,53 Mercury 2dr hrdtp. Most of these cars have roofs, body panels completely rusted off. Many more 40's,50's,60's cars. I am going to purchase a few of these oldies ,just to try and salvage some parts. I'll keep everyone posted.
Valrico is near Tampa. I gotta go back there and get a '66 Caprice that still has 327,tilt-telescoping column,p.windows plus look a '59 Invicta 2dr over for parts.
Found some more old stuff in a couple of yards near Tallahassee,Fla. last Friday. One yard had a complete ,solid '59 Invicta 4dr flat top,a '64 Wildcat 4dr sedan, and a complete '66 Toronado. Other yard had no old Buicks, but I left there with a pair of '76 Trans Am honeycomb wheels and pair of buckets out of '66 Lemans . I am going back after the '59 Invicta .
