In the fuel inlet housing on the carb. You access it by removing the fuel line to the carb (5/8" wrench) then the fitting the fuel line went into comes out with a large wrench (1" or larger) and inside that you will find the filter and a spring. The best thing to do is remove the filter and spring, put the housing back on, put the fuel line back on (DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN OR YOU WILL HAVE A LEAK YOU CAN'T FIX), and put an inline fuel filter down between the pump and where the fuel line comes out of the frame. Napa sells a nice little kit that has a clear plastic filter, rubber lines, and clamps, everything you need to do the job. Btw, this is HIGHLY recommended if you have a 4 barrel carb and any performance mods. Its not fun having the float bowl empty 3/4 of the way down the1/4 mile... Dan
Hey Dan you forgot to say REPLACE THE NYLON GASKET. I have found out that 99% of the leaks are due to that dam cheap nylon gasket.....the HELP board sells them at any local parts shop. Just a little note and tip to interject. Larry :TU:
