350 chevy roller rocker conversion to buick 350

    Yep, I had to replace my shafts and bearings a few years ago.
    There aren’t as many rollers in the old bearings, the replacement bearings have almost twice the rollers.

    Those Roller rocker bearings are supposed to be pre-lubed with break-in or assembly grease.
    Guess it eventually doesn't matter...:rolleyes:

    I would try this CMD high pressure lube....anyway.

    I thought abt bronze bushing a set of the 1.55 ratio 71 aluminum rockers before, when I discovered they ate into the steel shafts.
    They would have to be thin enough to not weaken the aluminum body, but would offer full support on shafts and not dig into them.
    Of course there would be slightly more friction than the roller bearings.
    Oh well...

    Or you could replace with oilite bronze bushings. Mart beat me to the keyboard!
