A friend of mine has a set of 350 heads freshly redone. They are casting #MP 1243452. I do not know what year they came off. I want to put them on my son's 70 GS 350 if possible. His castings are B 1233472. Can someone please help?

Let me give you a website to go to: www.buickgod.com Look for engine and block codes and scroll down to V8 cylinder head casting numbers. It appears these heads are off of a different year car. I DON'T KNOW if there's a difference in the head chamber size. Someone else here could probably tell you. I'm not the expert. You may have a good match.

NHRA lists these heads as being legal for use on 73-79 Buick 350's. These heads have some pollution control built into them as being the only real difference. From what I've heard others say, these heads will work on your 70. I know that the newer intakes require some of these passages being blocked off. The heads may require this also. I'm sure there are a bunch smarter than me on this subject that can give a a 100% answer, but this can help you get started.

    Good Luck,
