350 Oil Dip Stick with Tube

I have a 350 Buick Oil dip stick with tube for a 350 68-71 part #1384609 good shape asking $35.00

 

Hi, I have a 72 350 which needs a tube and dipstick. what is the difference from the 68-71 ? thanks

 

I have a '72 car here & a '70 dipstick/tube. I'm curious. I'd probably sell the '72 one I have.

Same on 4BBL throttle cables. '68-71 & 72. Not sure the difference there either.

 

Let me take a look at what I have. If @EricVC doesn't take it I might want it.

 

One has the rubber coated handle, 72 maybe? 71 & down does not.

Going through the same problem right now assembling my 72 350 engine. Wouldn't be an issue but, I have numerous parts from other engines mixed within. My dipstick rod has a part number on the bottom that indicates 72, according to parts manual. It does not have rubber handle but plastic tit on the end. Green I think. (similar to top photo). Can check tonight when i get home. As far as the upper tube goes, I am at a loss what is correct. I have a straight one and a curved one. Chris.

Are both parts of the tube there & mounting tabs straight, etc.

 

Are the two sticks, not the tubes, different lengths? It looks that way in your photo.

 

Yes they are. Full / Add markings are in the same spot tho.
