Hello we are trying to get the buick four speed hump reproduced by TPP.. We need to know what years the 4 speed hump covers and also what oldsmobile cars it covers as well.. here is the link that we have been discussing it on.. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=109272 Any and all help would be appriciated!! :TU: Thankyou Randy
I'll get some pix of both cars and the ring this week .....as...I'm on vacation :bglasses: and i'll get a camera and take some shots :beer :bglasses: :TU:
I have a hump thats in my 71 car but originally was from a 68 GS 400 car. I have removed the original floor piece and the hump and it was put in my 71. I compared it to another 71 hump at one time...exact thing. Since I will be removing this part soon, as I am parting the car out, I may possibly be able to supply a used but good shaped one. I'll consider it.Pat
That would take some pressure off me..If you were to sent Shane yours..BUT Hopefully we will have this all figured out by then.. I HOPE!! Thanks for your post!! Randy
If someone can post a picture of the one that is confirmed to be the same for '68-'71, then I can tell you if it is the same for '65. Attached is a picture of an original in a '65 GS.
Pglade we are just trying to determine what cars this hump will fit and get a list of the ones it doesn't so we can get a list going.. Brian can you tell me the number on the right side of your hump in teh upper right corner Please?? Thankyou Randy :TU: Pglade
Brian these look exactly the same.. Execept for the damaged areas..The way back section of this 4 speed hump was damaged also.. But I will get it staighted out..The reason i would like the number is because there is a number on this one also.. Would be nice if they we the same..Randy
You will have to ask Mark Ascher--that picture is of the one in his car. The one in my car is one I made by modifying a Chevelle one. I still have my original, but it is too rusty to find any numbers on.
OK Brian thankyou for trying.. Is Mark Ashers car in this condition yet or is it done?? Can you find this out for me I would really appriciate it.. Thankyou Randy
Mark's car is disassembled and at a body shop being painted right now. He is on this board under the name Mark Ascher, so you can send him a PM. Here is another view if you can zoom in and see the number:
Add me to the list of 'eagerly' watching this and hoping a repop will come into existance. trying to SAVE a 69 GS 400 4 speed with the entire (either 2x3 or 3x4 foot) section chopped out of the floor just for that ring :af: . I will post pics when the car arrives :Brow: Either way, I NEED one of these humps!!!! Come on, ChinaMike or TPP :TU:
George, this may be a long shot to you,but I have the original floor section that I removed from a 68 GS 400 4 speed car. This is a template I used to cut the floors in other cars. I took the hump off of it and used it in my 71 car. I traced the hole thats in the template to make it the right size. I now have the hump in my 71 and haven't decided exactly where I am going with it yet.
BigNasty- cool. Let me know. I began to take invertory of what I need for the GS- which is everything (sans column). If I can find a date coded M-21 for a 69-72, I can get the original, #'s matching Muncie for my 69 GS.....Anything you have that could help I would appreciate it :TU:
:Smarty: muncie's after 70 had fine spline input shafts...and...th 400 output shafts  here's a site for you to check out :3gears: :bglasses: :TU: http://www.5speeds.com/muncie2.htm
Update Hello everybody.. I finally got the four speed hump back and I also purchaed another one.. I will be straightening both of them to original specs and test fitting it in my car.. Then I will be sending it to TPP for reproducing.. Thankyou Everyone.. Randy :TU:
