    Hey everyone,

I was wondering what it would take to change the short tailshaft on my
ST 400 to a long tailshaft?
    Any help would be appreicated.

    Thanks,
    Tom :TU:

A complete tear down and rebuild.
You should be able to get a long tail easily.
If you were in FL. I would make you a great deal!

Howdy, Do the bolts that hold the housing also hold the shaft flange in place too?

When changing tailshaft lengths, you will need to disassemble the entire trans. So, if you are going that far, might as well rebuild it.

The 6 bolts that hold the flange in place are only there to hold the casing in place. In order to remove the output shaft, it has to be removed from the front.

    Thanks George.
I had planned on a rebuild too.
