I have a leaking rear main seal it is the rope type. I have seen on here i can use a rubber main seal. put the parts books i have show only rope one. what year of 455 seal will work. my books only show rope for them also. thanks Archie
All 455s had rope seal. The seal you need is a Ford 200 6 cylinder seal. Some were using a Caddy seal but it had to be cut, the Ford seal works just fine. Jim N.
