This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

I've got water wetter in mine, two quarts. I don't think it makes the coolant cooler. I think it raises the boiling point. Same, with installing a higher pressure cap, the higher pressure raises the boiling point. The car doesn't run cooler. But with higher pressure, the coolant can continue to cool.
Think of it this way, the liquid can cool the metal only when the liquid is in contact with the metal. Boiling liquid has bubbles... With bubbles, the liquid is no longer in contact with the metal, the liquid can't cool without contact. Raising the boiling point eliminates the bubbles, allowing the liquid to stay in contact with the metal.
That's right. The oil is the coolant for the rotating lower engine parts.
And, in the top of the engine, the combustion chambers, the fuel is a coolant. If the fuel filter stops up, and the engine runs too lean that nailhead will seize up. I learned that first hand. Use quality, name brand, high octane fuel. And, keep your fuel system clean. I run Mobil 93 octane, with STP octane boost, STP fuel system cleaner. And occasionally add Stabil or Seafoam because it's hard to find ethanol free around my house. If, you live near a Marina or speed shop you maybe can find ethanol free gasoline.
